National Lightning Safety Institute offers extensive online resources for large-scale facilities managers and outdoor recreation safety on the subject of lightning safety and hazard mitigation. This site utilizes listserve and guestbook forms, Javascript date updating, a customized third-party search engine and indexer, and is approximately 4.0 MG with 83 pages. Content is supplied by the author. Copy editing, navigation images, banners, image manipulation, HTML and other services supplied by Cywrite. Occasional Internet research focused on competitors. The site generates 80 - 100% of the client's new business prospects and contacts. This site ranks on the first page for several search engines including Lycos, HotBot, AltaVista and WebCrawler for the key words Lightning and Safety Last global redesign: Aug/ 99 Flash splash page and redesign for entry pages planned - mid Fall.

This frame-based site offers purchase and product information on a line of custom-made monitors, surveillance items and unique care products used in facilities and home care for the elderly and others needing special care. The banner uses mouse-controlled layer display of text and rollover buttons to inform the user about the content of each chapter. A form collects information from interested parties and suer input is solicited throughout. Products may be purchased by email or printing out and faxing a form. The splash page for this site determines user screen resolution and directs the browser to an appropriate frame. Future directions will offer password controlled pricing information for dealers and e-commerce purchasing. Links to advertisement and doorway pages in senior targeted directories are under development.

Concepts Direct is a direct marketer with significant entry into e-commerce. The corporate web site presents all pertinent business documents generated in the last three years to potential investors and industry analysts. It contains press releases, an extensive discussion of the company business, history and market, as well as a pictorial tour of the facility. There also is a Board or Director biography section with pictures, and a large section with individual descriptions of its marketing vehicles. The site employs two forms to gather information from potential investors and analysts.

The navigation system employs unique chapter identifiers developed in Photoshop with JAVA buttons throughout. There are numerous external links. This project was completed in eight weeks and contains 104 pages in a flattened hierarchy (5.2 MG at present.)

This portfolio site offers information about the venture capital company, solicits new projects through an interactive form, and provides information about portfolio company clients. This site is posted in draft form to meet publication requirements and for communicating new research developments that are not easily supplied in the print medium. It contains a specialized plug-in which displays three dimensional wire-frame models of proteins, databases of gene expression, QuickTime movies showing movement within cells, and contact information. laboratory protocols and other information. A photographic gallery employing layer technology and image maps is in use. The site offers third party site-restricted search engines and a user referral email link to promote the site.

The aims and purposes of this site are to promote Catholic education and facilitate communication among the faculty students and parents by providing information and resources about the school, its philosophy and curricula, policies, academic standards and student activities. The site currently exists as an electronic portfolio. An extensive section to facilitate the guidance and college preparation counseling is under development. The navigation panel uses mouse-controlled layer display of text and rollover buttons to inform the user about the content of each chapter. The site offers third party site-restricted search engines and a user referral email link to promote the site. This site has been promoted extensively to Catholic, education, real estate and local city directories.

Future directions may include a student gallery to highlight writing, artwork and technology projects, a gallery reporting on student events and work-projects, and an electronic newspaper. Student and alumni input will be solicited through interactive pages.

This site will grow beyond the typical school offering to facilitate increased educational support in the form of homework assignments, course syllabi and link libraries, answers to recent homework and tests at and suggested reading material. A special section facilitating communication between alumni and fostering development is also being considered.

Small ads for camera and photographic equipment, printers, films, etc created from magazine descriptions, company information and press releases; several hundred items in all. All layout and font consistency editing was performed directly in HTML source code. Occasional advertising work was performed for this client to promote workshops and classes.
